Farm Table

My wonderful husband finally built my farm table that i've been asking for!  It turned out amazing.  It's just over 8 feet long.  He's building a bench for one side for seating (not done yet) and we purchased mismatched chairs for the other side and ends from two different antique stores.  We had our first family dinner on the table last night.  Samuel even said that he may just sit and hang out at the table.  :)  Now I need to find a centerpiece.

This picture has all the types of chairs in it.  There are two gray chairs with no arms and two with arms.  They came as a set of 4.  The blue one is mine and the green one is Addison's.  Eli said he wants his gray chair with no arms to be red and Samuel is okay with his staying gray.  Chad is going to change his but i'm not sure to what yet.

Valentine's Day- Love it or Hate it?


I personally don't feel strongly one way or the other.  We don't usually go out on Valentine's Day to avoid the crowds so we usually go out to dinner sometime beforehand.  We don't go crazy overboard with expensive gifts either.  We do get the kids a little something and each other.  Flowers, while beautiful, die quickly.  I would much rather have a plant that will last for a very long time with some love and care but with our upcoming PCS that is not possible this year.  Chocolates are something I can get into!

This year my wonderful husband made me a wooden heart, he's quite handy with a saw.  I love and appreciate it much more than anything from a store.

Now I have to figure out what to get him, but nothing will compare to what he's done for me.
